This piece is dedicated to Walker McGraw and his incredible parents who happen to be two of my favorite people on earth. When Walker’s spirit left his little body, his dad saw him appear as a bluebird. Since then, that has become a symbol of our Walker. It only felt right that he was playing in a bird bath of honey. Honey in this piece represents the unconditional love of our “honey” tribe. We didn’t have him with us physically for long but his spirit is undeniable. I added a sun because to me a sun represents all things energy and he was a son to my Madden and Steven. When I think of the sun’s warmth, I think of love. It is intangible yet can make you feel incredibly safe and seen. If you look closer, I added his initials to the wing. WJM. Thank you for being an incredible source of love and protection, honey baby.
